Marketing Campaigns

We offer two levels of advertising -- Premium and Standard -- for 3, 6 and 12 month terms.  The majority of our marketing clients choose the 12-month Premium campaign because it provides a consistent connection with our readers via social media, newsletter, and direct email, and the greatest discount.

​Premium coordinated campaigns include:
  • Website ad, either Sidebar (300 x 250 pixels) or Banner (728 x 90). Ad artwork can be changed as often as needed.  Ad can be one static image, rotating images, or a GIF.
  • Weekly social media posts on Facebook and/or Instagram about the topics you provide or we will monitor your Facebook/Instagram page to make sure our posts are focused on your latest news and events.
  • Unlimited event calendar listings for your events (one-time events open to the public; we cannot list classes or camps on the event calendar)
  • Feature articles (content and photos to be supplied by advertiser, subject to editing for content and length) published in our weekly newsletter and included on our website homepage.  Articles published per YOUR schedule. For instance, you can schedule an article every 6 weeks for consistency or you can publish several articles consecutively to share your time-sensitive message. 
  • Dedicated eblasts to all subscribers focused just on your business and message. 
  • Business Directory listing

Standard coordinated campaigns include:
  • Website ad
  • Bi-weekly Facebook and/or Instagram posts
  • Event calendar listings
  • Feature articles
  • Business Directory listing

We also offer additional creative marketing options, including:
  • Event coordination.  We will plan and promote a special event to bring local families into your business, such as a Grand Opening, Open House, Pop-up Playdate, Storytime, or other family-focused activity.  
  • Giveaway promotion.  We'll promote your event, product or service to our readers with a fun giveaway.  VERY popular with readers and a great way to spread the word!​
  • Tell us your idea, and we'll try to make it happen!

Why don't we offer one-month campaigns?  

We have found, after 10 years of publishing Macaroni Kid, that one-month campaigns are not an effective use of a marketing budget. 
  • Readers need to see your information quite a few times (statistically, 7+ times), in a variety of ways (articles, ads, eblasts, social media) before they decide to learn more. 
  • They may not be in the market for your product or services at this time but will remember your marketing if it's presented in a variety of ways on a regular basis for a minimum of 3 months.
We are happy to provide ideas and input on the most effective ways to use your Macaroni Kid marketing budget.
